The ongoing exhibition at ZweiEck pays tribute not only to Mohammed and Reema, two young lives tragically lost, but to all children of Gaza. Co-founded by Mohammed Timraz, this exhibition showcases powerful artwork that reflects the profound experiences of these children.
Mohammed and Reema, who were just nine and thirteen years old when their lives were cut short in a bombing in October 2023, symbolize the countless children who have faced unimaginable challenges. Their brother, Waseem, survived the attack, and their legacy lives on through their art. Like many children, they cherished the simple joys of life: attending school, playing with siblings, and expressing themselves through drawing.
This exhibition serves as a poignant reminder of the resilience and creativity of Gaza’s children. Visitors are invited to experience this heartfelt tribute, honoring not only Mohammed and Reema but all children of Gaza, celebrating their spirit and creativity through their art.
Admission to all events and the exhibition is free. Donations are very welcome, and all proceeds will be used for feeding and medical care for the children and adults of the “Heart of Gaza” team.
Exhibition Dates: August 1 to August 31, 2025
Location: ZweiEck, Zweinaundorferstr. 22, Leipzig, Germany
Entry: Free (donations appreciated)
